20 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami have joined BNP in Jamalpur Union of Joypurhat Sadar Upazila.

On Tuesday (January 20) night, they joined BNP by offering flowers to Masud Rana Pradhan, senior joint convener of Joypurhat district BNP and candidate for the paddy sheaf of Joypurhat-Panchbibi one seat, at the BNP office at Shuktahar intersection in Sadar Upazila.

At that time, Masud Rana Pradhan said, they have joined BNP with confidence in BNP's activities and the conviction of being in favor of democracy and freedom. I thank the brothers who joined BNP from Jamaat-e-Islami today for their right decision at the right time.

Present at the time were District Krishak Dal member secretary Manjure Maula Palash, Sadar Upazila Krishak Dal's Anwar Hossain Dipu, District Jubo Dal convener ATM Shahnewaz Kabir Shuvro, Sadar Upazila BNP organizing secretary and Jamalpur Union BNP president Mofazzal Hossain, General Secretary Shamsul Islam, Organizing Secretary Enamul Haque Prodhan, Sadar Thana Chhatra Dal member secretary Ripon Hossain.

Those who joined BNP said, there is no alternative to the nationalist party in Bangladesh. We left Jamaat after understanding the matter and joined BNP. Masud Rana Prodhan is an honest man. We want to be by his side.
