At least 7 people have been injured in a horrific road accident on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in the Purinda bus stand area of ​​Satgram union in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj. Among the injured are two drivers and some ordinary passengers. The condition of one of the drivers is said to be critical.

According to local sources, a head-on collision occurred between a bus and a truck coming from opposite directions in the Purinda bus stand area of ​​the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. The intensity of the collision created chaos at the scene. At that time, another private car coming from both directions and a mini truck coming from above lost control and crashed into the accident vehicle.

Immediately after the accident, local residents rushed to the scene and initially rescued the injured. Later, Araihazar police reached the scene and rescued the injured and sent them to the nearest hospital for treatment.

Mohammad Alauddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC), Araihazar Police Station, said that work is underway to investigate the cause of the accident and legal action is under process.

Traffic on the highway was disrupted for some time after the incident, but the situation returned to normal later.
