Sakhawat Hossain Saka, Ramganj Upazila Correspondent of Dainik Khola Kagoj and Bangladesh Samachar, Executive Member of Ramganj Press Club and Part-time Teacher of Lamchar Bahumukhi High School, is no more. (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). He died at 2 am on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the Dhaka National Heart Institute. He was 48 years old.
According to family sources, he had been suffering from various complex diseases for the past two months. After being ill, he was initially treated at the Ramganj Government Hospital and when his physical condition deteriorated, he was admitted to the Dhaka Padma General Hospital. Later, he was transferred to the National Heart Institute on August 9. He breathed his last there at 2 am on Sunday, August 10. Journalist Sakhawat Hossain is the father of a son.
He is survived by his two elder brothers, wife and one son. Ramganj Press Club has expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of journalist Sakhawat Hossain. Today, Monday, after Zohr, the funeral prayer will be held at the Madina Dakhil Madrasa ground in Paschim Karpara Noor, Karpara Union, and the burial will be held in the family graveyard.
