Police have recovered the body of an unidentified woman from the septic tank of a house’s toilet in Naogaon. The body was recovered from the septic tank of the toilet of Montasur Rahman’s house in Bilabhabanipur (Purbapara) village of Shikarpur union in Sadar upazila at around 2 pm today (Tuesday, January 27).
Local residents believe that the unidentified woman was killed somewhere else and dumped in the toilet’s septic tank with the intention of hiding her body. The incident has created a sensation in the area.
The owner of the house Montasur Rahman said that he received a call from an unknown number at around 8 am on Monday morning informing him that a woman’s body was inside the toilet tank of his house. Since it was too late to confirm the matter, he informed the Naogaon Sadar Model Police Station at night. Later, the police reached the spot on Tuesday afternoon and recovered the body.
Officer-in-charge of Naogaon Sadar Model Police Station Md. Niamul Haque said that the identity of the body has not yet been identified. Initially, the body is being examined for any signs of injury. Necessary legal measures will be taken to identify the deceased woman and unravel the mystery of the incident.
