The holy Eid-ul-Azhar congregation was held in 496 mosques and Eidgah grounds in Joypurhat with due religious dignity, solemnity and joy.
On Thursday (May 28) morning, the main and largest Eid congregation of the district was held at the central Eidgah ground of the city.
Joypurhat District Administrator Al Mamun Mia, District Council Administrator Masud Rana Pradhan, BNP Central Executive Committee Member Faisal Alim, District BNP Convener Golzar Hossain, Joypurhat Judge Court PP Advocate Shahanur Rahman Sohan, GP Advocate Chalamat Hossain along with senior officers of various public and private offices, political leaders, businessmen and ordinary people offered prayers here. After the prayer, a special prayer is offered for the peace and prosperity of the country, the nation and the Muslim Ummah. After the prayers, the worshipers exchanged hugs and Eid greetings with each other. Maulana Yusuf, the Khatib of the Central Mosque, led the prayers and prayers.
