Ansar VDP active in the field to preserve the skins of sacrificial animals for Eid

PirGanj (Thakurgaon) Representative:

On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force are conducting public awareness activities on slaughtering sacrificial animals, waste disposal, environmental protection and proper preservation of sacrificial animal skins. Like other regions of the country, Ansar VDP members are actively performing their duties in Pir Ganj Upazila of Thakurgaon and at the field level.

Pir Ganj Upazila Union and Ward Party Leaders, Commander Ansar and VDP members – members, said that sacrificial animal skins are an important economic resource of the country’s holy Eid-ul-Azha. Due to slight ignorance or negligence, a huge amount of skins are wasted every year, which has a negative impact on the national economy.

Therefore, the general public is being made aware of the correct rules for preserving skins. After collecting the sacrificial animal skins, they should immediately use salt to preserve them, maintain a clean environment and not get involved in any kind of brokerage, illegal stockpiling or irregularities. To make the leather preservation program successful, the volunteer Ansar VDP members of the upazila are performing their duties in different areas in coordination with the upazila administration.

In addition, awareness campaigns are also being conducted among the people. Conscious circles believe that if the leather of sacrificial animals is preserved properly, the country’s leather industry will prosper and will make an important contribution to the national economy. Such an initiative of Ansar VDP to keep the environment clean and prevent leather waste is undoubtedly commendable. The common people of all walks of life of Pirganj upazila have appreciated this humanitarian and awareness-raising initiative of Ansar VDP.
