Today, Friday, May 29, before the last journey of the body of film director Anik Dutt to the Keoratala crematorium, the body was brought to pay tribute to him, at 9 am to Peace World, at 10 am to Nandan and at 11 am to Tollygunge NT One Studio, where everyone from actors and actresses to film directors paid their last respects. Then at exactly 12:30 pm, the last journey from NT One Studio to Keoratala crematorium. Countless well-wishers and artists reached Keoratala crematorium with the dead.
With the demise of such a film director, a shadow of grief fell on the Tollygunge Studio neighborhood.
MLA and actor Rudranil Ghosh, Comrade Biman Basu, director Gautam Ghosh, actor Jeet, actor Abir, actor Biswajit Chakraborty, director Sudeshna Roy, actress Sudipta, actress Bidipta, director Chandan Sen, along with countless actors, actresses, directors, and others were present to pay their respects.
Anik Dutt was born on May 22, 1960 and died on May 27, 1926, in Kolkata, leaving behind his wife and a daughter, he lived in the Hindustan Flats house.
His films, Ashadhiya Pradeep in 2013, Gang of Ghosts in 2014, Meghnadabad Rahasya in 2017, Bhattu Bhoot in 2019 and Aparajit under the banner of Friends Communication in 2022.
Close people bid farewell to that Aparajit. Today, Tollywood is speechless at the death of such a director.
He committed suicide by jumping from a flat in Hindustan Park on May 27. Why he chose this path is unknown to everyone. However, the shopkeepers who were nearby at that time said that they could not understand either. We heard a sound. We thought that a tree branch might have broken, but when we went there, we saw a dead body of a man lying there, covered in blood. We were in the shop at that time around noon.
However, forensic officers are investigating and even examining how he jumped from the roof. They are even making a pillow with Anik Dutta’s weight and dropping it on the spot repeatedly, marking how and where he fell, whether he was close to it when he fell.
From there, director Anika Dutta was taken to the hospital where he died. Honorable Chief Minister Shuvendu Adhikari reached the spot after receiving the news and paid tribute to him. Such incidents have created a stir in the Tollywood neighborhood. One incident after another has created a doubt in the minds of everyone from actors to actresses. Each incident is happening behind the scenes.
Although the last rites of film director Anik Dutt were supposed to be performed on Thursday, but at his request, as his daughter was out, the last rites were performed today at the Keoratora crematorium in the presence of his wife and daughter Shashi.
All the artists– sang the song Aguner Parashmani and said goodbye for the last time.
