Manowar Hossain Dipjol (born: 15 June 1958) is a popular film actor, producer, director and social worker in Bangladesh. Although he is best known as a villain, he has also played positive roles in several films.
Early life and education
Dipjol was born in Mirpur, Dhaka. His father is the late Abdul Alim and mother is Fatema Alim. He studied at a madrasa in the Muslim Bazar area of ââMirpur. He was interested in films since childhood.
Film career
Dipjol's film career began in 1989 with the film 'Takar Pahar'. In this film, he played his first lead role. However, he mainly gained fame as a villain. Some of the notable films he acted in in the nineties include 'Teji', 'Bhayonkar Bishu', 'Kathin Habbool', 'Ammajan' etc.
After 2000, he mainly debuted as a producer and founded his own production company 'Deepali Films'. His first film 'Koti Takar Kabin' (2006) was a huge commercial success. In this film, he played a different kind of comic character, which brought him new popularity.
