A cleanliness drive has been inaugurated in Thakurgaon to increase public awareness about preventing dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases. Today
(Saturday, April 11) at 12 noon, the district administration organized the program and the municipality implemented it. At this time, the cleanliness drive started from the district administrator's premises and was conducted at various places on the road.
Thakurgaon Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rafiqul Haque said, "Severe pollution is caused in the environment due to plastic, polythene and various garbage. As a result, the risk of spreading various diseases increases and dengue outbreaks can also occur. Therefore, this drive has been started to increase awareness and ensure a clean environment."
At this time, he called for the joint efforts of everyone to build a clean and healthy Thakurgaon.
During the campaign, garbage and garbage accumulated on various roads, alleys and highways of the city were removed. In addition, local residents were urged to keep their yards and surrounding areas clean in order to increase public awareness about preventing mosquito-borne diseases including dengue.
