In Bholahat, Chapainawabganj, the Upazila BNP and its affiliates organized the 45th martyrdom anniversary of the independence proclaimer, advocate of multi-party democracy and architect of modern Bangladesh, martyred President Ziaur Rahman, at their own office on Saturday (30 May 2026) at 4:30 pm.

Former Member of Parliament-44 Chapainawabganj-2 and Co-Secretary of Industry and Commerce, National Executive Committee Alhaj Md. Aminul Islam Amin were present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting and prayer meeting. Former Upazila Chairman, Associate Professor Md. Anwarul Islam were present as the special guest.

Former UP Chairman and Upazila BNP Senior President Md. Mahatab Uddin presided over the meeting. Among others, present were District Krishak Dal Member Secretary Md. Durul Huda, Gomostapur Upazila BNP President and UP Chairman Abul Kashem Md. Masum, Former Women Vice Chairman Reshmatul Aras Rekha, Former UP Chairman Md. Abdul Quader, BNP Leader Contractor Md. Alauddin, Former Jubo Dal General Secretary Md. Munsur Ali, Acting Convener of District Volunteer Dal Md. Mizanur Rahman Mizu.

Leaders and activists of Bholahat and Gomostapur Upazila BNP and its affiliates were present under the leadership of former Upazila Chhatra Dal's Tukhor student leader and former MP's personal assistant Kaiser Ahmed. Finally, prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the soul of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
