Saudi Arabia Representative:
A Bangladeshi organization, 'Saudi Expatriate Remittance Fighter 101 Team Humanity Creation', congratulated the new government and raised 20-point demands to ensure the overall development and good governance of the country.
The organization said that although expatriates have made an important contribution to the country's economy, their various problems and national issues have not yet been resolved. Therefore, they have called on the new government to take effective and practical steps.
The organization said in its statement that it is necessary to take strict legal action against human traffickers and brokers, create a drug-free society, close unlicensed hospitals and institutions, ensure adulterated products and eliminate unemployment. In addition, emphasis has been placed on rural infrastructure development, free education assistance for poor students and modernization of the education system.
They also demanded that the salaries of imams of all mosques in the country be increased and free Maktab education be introduced, science and technology-based training be expanded, agricultural training and primary medical centers be established at the union level, ensure the respect and security of expatriates and ensure safe arrival home from the airport.
In addition, it mentioned closing down unlicensed insurance companies and illegal residential hotels, making railway fares affordable or free for the poor, reducing VAT on goods sent from abroad, increasing the salaries of garment workers and all employees, and strengthening strict surveillance against illegal activities.
The organization expressed hope that the new government would take effective steps to meet the expectations of the people and set a new example of development and good governance for Bangladesh.
