Islami Andolan Bangladesh Amir and Charmonai Pir Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim has alleged that Jamaat-e-Islami has engaged in secret contacts with foreign powers in its desire to come to power. He claimed that the party is dealing with the people in two ways through these activities.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at an election public meeting held at Paur Shishu Park of Ramganj Upazila of Laxmipur on Sunday (February 1) afternoon. Charmonai Pir said, if there is a big difference between words and actual actions, people do not delay to understand it. Those who fall in love with power and open doors to foreign influence, their true colors are slowly revealed.

He also said that in the past BNP-Jamaat alliance has failed to fulfill the expectations of the people even from the state power. If peace and just governance have not been assured then, it is time to reconsider how credible those same assurances are. The people of the country are no longer in a state to be confused.

Highlighting the long political reality of the country, Rezaul Karim said that in the last 54 years, the state has not been run on the basis of principles and ideals. After the August 5 mass uprising, the possibility of a new path was created, in which the state was dreamed of in harmony with Islamic and humanitarian values. However, due to differences in leadership and policy, that compromise did not materialize.

Referring to the Jamaat, he said, a group is talking about establishing justice within the conventional system, bypassing Islamic ideals. Although the country has been governed for a long time in this system, no example of real justice has been established - there is no room to deny the fact. Amir of Islamic Movement Bangladesh said to the voters, change is inevitable if those who are sincere in the welfare of the country and Islam are united. Now is the perfect time to start a new chapter by voting on the hand fan symbol.

The meeting was presided over by Zakir Hossain Patwari, candidate of Islami Andolan Bangladesh in Laxmipur-1 constituency and district vice president. Candidate of Laxmipur-4 constituency Khaled Saifullah, Central General Secretary of Jatiya Ulama Mashaikh Aimma Parishad Mufti Rezaul Karim Abrar, Dai Habibur Rahman Misbah and other central and local leaders also spoke on the occasion.
