A three-day 'Land Service Fair-2026' is starting simultaneously across the country from May 19 to introduce people to digital land services and provide people-friendly services at the marginal level. This fair, organized by the Ministry of Land, will continue till May 21.
This information was given at a press briefing organized at the Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner's Office on Sunday (May 17) at 12 noon. The fair will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman MP will officially inaugurate the fair from Bhumi Bhaban in Tejgaon, Dhaka at 10 am on May 19. The inaugural ceremony will be broadcast live in all districts and upazilas of the country. In Rajshahi division, this fair will be held in a festive atmosphere in every district and upazila, including divisional cities.
To make digital land services easy for the common people, various services will be provided directly at the fair premises and ideas will be given. Notable among these are: â:E-namjari applications can be submitted at the fair premises. Service recipients will receive direct assistance in paying land development tax (rent) online. Collection of certified copies of Khatian and receipt of DCR will be made easy.
Information and services related to digital mouza map collection. An informative booklet titled 'Bhoomi Amar Thika' written in simple language will be distributed at the fair for the convenience of the common people. Awareness will be created at the fair about the national hotline 16122 and the special hotline number of the Rajshahi divisional administration 01706888787 for any complaints or inquiries related to land services.
âAdditional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Dr. Chitralekha Naznin read out a written statement at the press briefing. She said: "As a result of bringing land-related services to the automation system, now people are able to receive many services from home. This fair is organized to inform the common people about these new digital systems and make them user-friendly."
The program was conducted by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md. Mohinul Hasan. Assistant Commissioner (Land, Boalia) Arif Hossain and other concerned officials were present at the time.
âIt was informed in the briefing that in the future, the government has a groundbreaking plan to provide all land services through a single platform, digital survey and land zoning, and issue a certificate of land ownership along with land purchase. In addition, initiatives have been taken to launch digital registration and e-namjari services simultaneously by coordinating between the Upazila Land Office and Sub-Registry Office.
âThe divisional administration informed that extensive publicity is being carried out through print and electronic media, social media, educational institutions and religious places of worship to make the fair a success. At the same time, people from all walks of life have been urged to come to the fair and avail services.
