Today, Sunday, September 7, 2025, the VDP Basic Training (Phase 1) 2025-2026 was inaugurated at the Damurhuda Union Council of Damurhuda Sadar Upazila of Chuadanga District.

Damurhuda Upazila Executive Officer Mr. Tithi Mitra, Upazila Ansar VDP Officer Md. Sajid Rahman, and members of the Ansar and Village Defense Force were also present as the chief guests at the inauguration ceremony.

Also present as special guests and in charge of the basic training are Mr. Sajid Rahmar, Upazila Ansar and VDP Officer, Damurhuda and Mr. Humayun Kabir, Upazila Trainer, Union Party Leader Md. Rusya Khatun, Union Ansar Commander Shahidul Islam. The basic training will continue until Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force Special Basic Training, various workshops on peacekeeping, and basic training for new personnel are included. These trainings are organized for skill enhancement, national duty performance, and employment of personnel.

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force:
In order to conduct the upcoming national elections and autumn Durga Puja smoothly, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force has started the 1st phase of their Thana/Upazila Basic Training nationwide.

The purpose of this training is to enhance skills in performing national duties. The Basic Training-1st phase of the Ansar and Village Defense Force has started. The trainees participating in this special training program, organized with the aim of conducting the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election and autumn Durga Puja smoothly, are being trained according to the prescribed modules.

Their physical capacity and discipline are being increased through training at Damurhuda Union Parishad at 10:00 in the morning. Every drop of sweat, every moment of fatigue in this training is making them stronger, more confident.

In addition, local administration and senior officials are providing subject-based training in the light of practical experience. Through this, the trainees are gaining hands-on knowledge on the role of Ansar-VDP members in unconventional warfare, firefighting, dealing with natural disasters, preventing child marriage, combating terrorism, drug control, maintaining law and order, and other important public issues.

In particular, members are being given practical exercises on maintaining order at polling stations in the upcoming national elections and on the dos and don'ts in performing their assigned duties. In addition, they are being encouraged to develop their leadership skills and team spirit through various competitions.

Quality food is provided for the trainees during the training. At the end of the training, they will be given certificates, which will encourage and inspire the members.

This training program will continue until 18/09/2025, through which the trained members will become more skilled and confident in performing their national duties as proud members of Ansar VDP.
