A warranted accused who had been absconding for a long time has been arrested by the Bishwanath Police Station in Sylhet. On Wednesday (April 08) night, based on a secret information, they were arrested in a raid at Shapla Villa in Shamim Rani Residential Area in Notun Bazar of Bishwanath Municipality.
They are, Mosh: Seema Begum (25), CR Case No. 243/2025 of Bishwanath Police Station, who is under warrant, and the two accused who were arrested on charges of engaging in anti-social activities are, Husna Begum (25) father-deceased Ahmed Ali, Sang-Rahman Nagar, Thana-Bishwanath. Suman Ahmed (19) father-Abdul Barik, Sang-Natun Krishnapur, Thana Doarabazar.
Confirming the raid and arrest, SI Panna Lal Dev of Bishwanath Police Station said that the police went to the area to arrest the accused who were under warrant. During this, based on secret information, three people were arrested red-handed while they were engaged in anti-social activities. After the arrest, they were arrested in the relevant case after due legal process, the police said.
