The Narcotics Control Department has arrested three people with Yaba and marijuana in an anti-drug operation in Mymensingh. On Tuesday (August 19, 2025), a smart team of the district office led by Inspector âKhâ Circle Kaniz Fatema conducted the operation based on secret information.
During the operation, a raid was conducted in Ag Mushulli village under Nandail Model Police Station and Mosh: Sweety Akhter Maina (25) and Md. Mizan Mia (26) were arrested with 1,400 pieces of amphetamine-containing Yaba.
In addition, on the same day, a raid was conducted in Kawar Gati village of Nandail and Mohammad Anich Mia (60) was arrested red-handed with 200 grams of marijuana.
The process of filing two regular cases with Nandail Model Police Station against Inspector Kaniz Fatema is underway. The Narcotics Control Department has informed that such campaigns against drugs will continue.
