The reunion program and family reunion of the 1987 batch organized by the Alumni Association (1987 batch) of Habilasdwip High School in Patiya Upazila, Chittagong was completed today from 10 am with various programs throughout the day.
The first pre-national anthem of the program began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by recitation of the Holy Quran, Gita, Tripitaka, and the presentation of the inaugural song. The discussion meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the NDC Group and the President of the Alumni Association, Alhaj Md. Nazim Uddin, and moderated by the Chief Convener of the Alumni Association, Md. Hasanur Zaman Babu. The welcome speech was delivered by the Secretary of the Alumni Association, Social Service Officer Satyajit Majumder Manu. Former DIG of Police P. R. Barua was present as the chief guest. Professor Saleh Zahur, Finance Department of Chittagong University, and Headmaster of Habilasdwip High School, Omar Ali, were present as the main discussants.
Former Agrani Bank AGM Md. Jahangir Alam, prominent sports organizer Md. Nazim Uddin, Md. Jamshedul Alam, Mohi Uddin Khan, Ahmed Kabir Babul, SM Didarul Haque, Liton Kanti Barua, Md. Ismail, Abdul Wahab Munshi, Didarul Islam Badal, Milan, Abdullah Khan, Ilyas Khan, Ayub Khan, Minal Roy, Sunil Dhar, Ashish Pal, Reza Muhammad Jamshed, Ajit Kumar Nath, Swapan Mahajan, Gaurang Dev, Md. Ishaq, Didarul Alam, Muhammad Selim, Asit Barua, Praveen Sen, Ratan Barua, Biswajit Majumdar, etc. delivered memorable speeches.
The program ended with a pleasant cultural program in which radio and TV artists performed music and finally prizes were distributed.
