A human chain and protest program has been held in Santhia, Pabna, demanding the implementation of the 9th pay scale. As part of the ongoing program initiated by the Santhia Government Employees Coordination Council, a sit-in program and protest program have been held in Pabna to demand the implementation of the 9th pay scale.
On Tuesday, the program was presided over by Santhia and Upazila Government Employees Coordination Council President Aminul Islam and conducted by Vice-Presidents Jasim Uddin and Saiful Islam. The program was addressed by Upazila Secondary Education Officer AKM Shamsul Haque, Acting Principal of Boalmari Kamil Madrasa Dr. Abdullah, Assistant Professor Joynal Abedin Rana, Assistant Professor MA Hye, Convener of Secondary Teachers Association Nariagodai High School Headmaster Abdul Hannan, Shalghar Government Primary School Headmaster Shafiqul Islam Ripon, General Secretary of Santhia Government Employees Coordination Council Ajmal Hossain, Organizers Bazlur Rahman, Ismail Hossain Kiron, Anisur Rahman Liton, Doctor Abdullah Al Hadi, Central Committee Member Pharmacist Russell Ahmed Sohag, Headmaster Nazrul Islam, Arifa Anjuman Ara, and others.
The speakers at the rally also said that even though the commission submitted its report on January 21, the financial advisor is wasting time by forming a committee without publishing the gazette. The rally called for participation in the general assembly on the 6th if the notification is not issued before the 6th.
At that time, teachers of private schools, colleges and madrasas under MPO and employees of various departments participated in the program.
