The key to the country is in your hands, vote “yes” for change – a district imam conference has been held in Joypurhat with the slogan ‘The key to the country is in your hands, vote “yes” for change’. The conference was organized at the district model mosque auditorium on Sunday morning to promote the upcoming referendum and motivate voters.

About 750 imams, khatibs and religious leaders from different mosques of the district participated in this conference, organized jointly by the district administration and the Islamic Foundation Joypurhat District Office.
Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation Joypurhat District Office Sajedur Rahman presided over the program, with Deputy Commissioner Md. Al-Mamun Mia present as the chief guest. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of the referendum at the national level and urged the imams to encourage the people to vote consciously and actively.

In his special guest speeches, Superintendent of Police Mina Mahmuda and District Election Officer Mahmud Hasan discussed the fair environment of the election and the technical aspects of exercising the right to vote. The conference was attended by District Information Officer Ibrahim Mollah Suman and other relevant officials of the administration.
The speakers said that the value of every vote is immense in consolidating the democratic process of the country. The conference emphasized on utilizing the social influence of religious leaders to bring the common people to the polling stations and shape public opinion in favor of change.
