A drug dealer was arrested red-handed along with 98 bottles of Indian narcotics Escap syrup in a special operation by the police in Bholahat Upazila of Chapainawabganj on Wednesday night (April 8, 26).
The person arrested by the police is Md. Golam Rabbani (27). He is a resident of Musharibhuja area of the upazila and his father’s name is Md. Jalal Uddin.
According to police sources, Bholahat Police conducted a special operation and arrested Rabbani based on secret information. At that time, 98 bottles of Indian Escap syrup illegally stored from him were recovered.
A regular case has been filed with Bholahat Police Station in this incident. Case No. 03/ Dated April 9, 2026.
Md. Abdul Barik, the newly-joined officer-in-charge of Bholahat Police Station, said that their drive to eradicate drugs will continue and appropriate action will be taken to bring those involved in such crimes under the law.
