A farewell reception was given to two assistant professors and an instructor of Shah Neyamatullah College in Chapainawabganj. The farewell ceremony was held at the teachers’ auditorium at 10 am on Tuesday, February 17, organized by the college. The ceremony was presided over by the college principal, Mohd. Tariqul Alam Siddiqui.
The chief guest was Professor Md. Latifur Rahman, president of the college’s governing body and former member of parliament from Chapainawabganj-3 constituency. The teachers who received the farewell reception were – Assistant Professor Md. Machuma Haque of the History Department, Mohd. Durul Huda of the Political Science Department and Md. Akhtaruzzaman of the Physics Department. At the ceremony, the speakers shared various memories of the long career of the departing teachers and highlighted their contribution to the field of education with gratitude.
The college authorities presented the departing teachers with honorary crests. In addition, a one-time payment of four times the amount deposited in their provident fund was given. The speakers wished and prayed for their healthy, beautiful and peaceful retirement. In an emotional atmosphere, colleagues and students expressed their respect and love for the departing teachers.
