Heroic freedom fighter Nazim Uddin Khan buried with state honors

In Kaliganj, Gazipur, freedom fighter Md. Nazim Uddin Khan passed away (Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun). He was 70 years old at the time of his death. He passed away at his home on September 8 at 6:15 pm.

Born in 1955 to Dr. Nur Uddin Khan and Mikmal Akhter Khanam, Nazim Uddin, the youngest son, participated in the Liberation War while still a student. Later, he retired as an official of the Bangladesh government.

In his personal life, Nazim Uddin is the father of 4 daughters. Of which the eldest daughter Dr. Shahrin Jahan is working as a BCS. Livestock cadre. The second daughter Tanjin Jahan Tithi started her career as a BCS Education cadre. The third daughter Dr. Semim Jahan Arthi and the youngest daughter Fabliha Khan Raidah are studying in the Department of Economics at the University of Dhaka, known as the Oxford of the East. Nazim Uddin Khan’s elder brother Advocate Shoaib Uddin Khan was also a heroic freedom fighter. At the time of his death, he left behind numerous admirers, including 4 daughters, 2 grandsons and 3 granddaughters.

Former MP and Gazipur District BNP convener AKM Fazlul Haque Milon expressed deep shock at the death of heroic freedom fighter Nazim Uddin Khan. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family. In his death, the nation lost a proud heroic son. Leaders and activists of various social, cultural and political organizations and prominent figures of the area expressed deep grief and condolences on his death and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased’s soul.

The deceased was buried in the family graveyard after the funeral prayer at the Fuldi Janata High School grounds after Zohar on Tuesday. Before the prayers, a guard of honor was presented as a state honor under the leadership of Kaliganj Upazila Executive Officer ATM Kamrul Islam.
