BNP Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has promised that if the people demand the division of Comilla, it will be implemented.
He said this while joining a road meeting at Laxmipur Bazar ground in Barura Upazila of Comilla around noon on Saturday (May 16).
Stating that all promises will be fulfilled in stages, Tarique Rahman said that the promises made by BNP to the people in the elections are fulfilled to the letter. In the meantime, arrangements have been made for family cards, canal excavation programs and honorariums for imams and muezzins in charge of religious institutions.
He said, you have seen that we promised family cards before the elections, we have started giving cards to people. The people of this area will also get family cards. There is a lot of allocation for family cards in the budget that will be presented next June.
The Prime Minister said that during the past fascist era, if you spoke against the government, you would be disappeared and sued. The people of the country expelled them from the country in the student-public uprising in 2024. Many people have been martyred for the establishment of democracy for the people of the country. They have shed their fresh blood.
Tarique Rahman said, the people of this country were under the grip of a great tyranny. But the people of the country have been freed from that situation. However, it is not enough to just liberate the country – if we liberate the country, if we free the country from tyranny, the next task is to reconstruct the country.
