On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, an Iftar and prayer mahfil was organized by the Hatia Press Club. This prayer mahfil was organized on Thursday (March 12) evening at the premises of the ‘Hatia Press Club’ on College Road, Hatia Upazila, Noakhali.
The doa mahfil, chaired by the elected president of the Hatia Press Club, Md. Firoz Uddin, was discussed by Maulana AQM Idris, president of the Hatia Madrasa Teachers’ Association, A.N.M. Hasan, president of the Secondary Teachers’ Association, and Nasim Shuvo, Noakhali District Representative of Ekhon TV, among others.
The speakers at the program, moderated by Hatia Press Club member Sayed Ahamed, called for the media to play a responsible role by remaining steadfast on social responsibility.
At this time, the heads of various departments of the Upazila Parishad, the police administration, the heads of various educational institutions, officials and employees of various organizations, Channel I’s Noakhali district representative Alauddin Shibli, Nagorik TV’s representative Md. Sohel Uddin, members of the Hatia Press Club and more than two hundred people from different classes and professions were present.
Earlier, at the beginning of the program, Maulana Amir Hamza, Senior Vice President of the Hatia Press Club, recited from the Holy Quran. Later, Maulana Ziaul Haque, the Pesh Imam of the Upazila Parishad Jame Mosque, led a special prayer for the welfare of the country and the nation and the Muslim Ummah, including the affected Iran and Palestine.
