Indian Statistical Institute’s 60th convocation ceremony and felicitation of students

On Wednesday, February 18, the 60th convocation ceremony of the Indian Statistical Institute, located at the junction of BT Road, Kolkata, was celebrated on Tuesday, February 17, at exactly 2:30 pm. SI’s Amrakunja campus.

The ceremony began with the national anthem, after which the guests were welcomed one by one. The convocation ceremony was celebrated with a beautiful ceremony.

Acting Director Shri Shankar Kumar Pal, Director Professor Ayanendranath Basu, Professor Bishwavrata Pradhan, Professor Padma Nav Balaram and other senior professors were present at the ceremony and the guardians of the students were present.

The students who passed the degree and diploma courses were felicitated at the ceremony and prizes were given to them. A total of 568 students from all departments were given these prizes. The students who secured first, second and third positions were awarded gold medals.

Every student was overwhelmed and impressed by this honor, they said that it will be a memorable one for us, it will show us the way forward and give us courage. We are grateful to all the teachers. And we are also grateful to those who have enlightened us with their attention today, for enjoying the program beautifully.

The organizer said, the 59th convocation ceremony was held in Delhi, inaugurated by Shri P.N. Haskar, Chairman of ISI and Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of the Government of India. We are overwhelmed and impressed to hold the 60th convocation ceremony at our Kolkata ISI Institute,

He also said, we are happy and honored to have Professor Padmanabh Balaram Mahasaya with us, I am sure that our graduating students were eagerly waiting to hear his convocation address on this important day of their lives, and through his entire educational life, he is an inspiration to all of us.

I believe that his speech will give the graduating students the courage to dream big and show them the way forward. In the coming days, these students will be able to establish themselves. And once established, they will stand by their families. My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the graduating students.
