BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman was met by Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, a member of the party’s national standing committee and former minister. He was accompanied by his son, Dr. Khandaker Maruf Hossain, a member of the BNP’s national executive committee.
This important meeting was held on Monday evening, London time. Those concerned consider such a direct meeting of the BNP’s top leadership after a long time to be significant.
Regarding the meeting, Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain told the media,
“This meeting with Tarique Rahman was a unique experience. We sat face to face after a long time. The atmosphere of the conversation was such a moment that is worth remembering forever.”
He also said that the party’s work, the current political situation and future strategies were discussed. During this time, he wished the BNP Acting Chairman good health, longevity and success.
Political analysts say that such meetings can play an important role in determining the internal unity of the BNP and its future course of action. It is believed that such close contact between the top leaders of the BNP will create new enthusiasm among the party leaders and activists, especially in the context of the national elections.
