National and International Youth Day was celebrated in Dhamirhat. Dhamirhat Upazila Administration and Youth Development Department organized a discussion meeting, certificate distribution, award distribution and loan distribution on the occasion of the day on Tuesday, August 12 at 11 am.
Upazila Youth Development Officer Kamruzzaman Sardar presided over the discussion meeting held at the Upazila Parishad auditorium under the leadership of Zahid Iqbal and Salma Khatun Julie. UNO (Acting) Jasmine Akhter delivered the speech as the chief guest.
UNO Jasmine Akhter called upon the youth to develop themselves as entrepreneurs, create employment opportunities and above all establish themselves as honest businessmen. Highlighting the importance of Youth Day, Upazila Agriculture Officer, Agronomist Toufiq Al Zubayer, Education Officer Rabiul Islam, OC Zafar Imam, Family Planning Officer Bedarul Islam, Brave Freedom Fighter A.H. Rouf, Student Representative Rifatul Hasan Saikat, Alamgir Hossain Arab, Successful Organizer Noor Islam, Representatives of Various Youth Organizations delivered further speeches. Youth Development Officer Kamruzzaman Sardar administered the oath.
At the end of the discussion, 4 people were given loan checks totaling 2 lakh 30 thousand taka for raising cows and cattle, and successful youth organizers Noor Islam, Zahid Iqbal and Russell Mahmud were given honorary crests.
