Police recover body from Tulrampur Beel in Narail

A person’s body recovered from Tulrampur Beel in Narail. Sadar Police recovered the body of a person named Md. Shariful Islam (48) from Tulrampur Beel in Narail Sadar Upazila. The body was recovered from the beel on the south side of the Tulrampur Rail Bridge in the upazila around noon on Friday (February 13).

Md. Shariful Islam is the son of Intaz Ali Tarafdar of Jag Mohanpur village in Jessore district’s Sadar.

According to police and local sources, a local farmer saw the body of a person on the beel on the south side of the Tulrampur Rail Bridge while going to his land on Friday around 12 noon. Later, when the police were informed, a team of Sadar Police went to the spot and took the body into custody.

At that time, a jacket, a towel, a bag, NID card and 4,200 taka were found next to the body. The police identified him based on the NID. Later, a post-mortem report was prepared on the body and it was sent to the district hospital morgue for autopsy. Local resident Saheb Molya said that he saw Shariful offering Asr prayers at a mosque in Tularampur on Thursday afternoon. Then he came to know about the recovery of his body on Friday afternoon.

In this regard, Narail Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Kamruzzaman said that there were no signs of injury on Shariful Islam’s body. The cause of his death will be known after receiving the autopsy report. His family is being informed.
