On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, the Ruby Jayanti was inaugurated at Rajshahi Barendra College. On Tuesday morning at 9 am, the Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi Division, Dr. A. N. M. Bajrul Rashid, announced the inauguration of the program by releasing balloons at the college premises located in Ghoramara of the city.
College President and Convener of Ruby Jayanti Celebration Committee Taufiqur Rahman Lablu, College Principal and Member Secretary Ranjit Kumar Saha, Assistant Professor Ashraful Haque Tota and other teachers were present at the time. At the beginning of the program, the Divisional Commissioner was given a guard of honor by the scout team.
After the inauguration, the formalities were completed by hoisting the national flag. Later, a colorful rally started from the college premises at around 10 am. The rally circled Sahebbazar Zero Point and ended in front of the Barendra Museum.
As part of the day-long event, various cultural and entertainment programs have been organized at the Central Park and Zoo. The event will continue till the evening, where the spontaneous participation of students, teachers and alumni has created a festive atmosphere.
This program organized on the occasion of Ruby Jayanti is being considered as an important occasion to showcase the college’s 40-year educational journey, successes and traditions to the new generation. May the program turn into a grand gathering.
