A wife cut off her sleeping husband’s penis in the Munseferchar area of Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi. The sensational incident took place on Tuesday (September 2) at around 11 am.
The injured husband, Md. Hasan Molla (28), is the son of Shafiz Uddin Molla of Munseferchar village of Putia union and is a truck driver by profession. It is learned that his wife Tania Akhter carried out the attack tactfully when he returned home after duty and fell asleep.
Hearing Hasan’s screams, neighbors rushed to rescue him in a seriously injured condition. Later, his relatives quickly left to take him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. On the other hand, locals arrested his wife from the scene and handed him over to the police.
The OC of Shibpur Model Police Station said that the accused woman is currently in police custody. Legal action will be taken if a written complaint is received.
