A strict campaign is underway by the Barguna District Police to build a creative society free of drugs, extortion, illegal encroachers and juvenile gangs in the future to build a beautiful Bangladesh.
To implement this goal, the able Superintendent of Police of Barguna District, Mr. Md. Kudrat-e-Khuda, PPM-Seba, has adopted a zero tolerance policy against drugs and has given instructions for an all-out anti-drug campaign.
Today, January 27, 2026 AD. Barguna District Detective Branch (DB) conducted a special campaign at Amtali Police Station based on secret information.
During the campaign, a person named Md. Abul Bashar Mia (47) was arrested red-handed with 50 pieces of Yaba tablets from the area adjacent to Tarikata Bazar of Tarikata village, Ward No. 09 of Arpangashia Union No. 07 of Amtali Police Station, under the leadership of SI (retd) Bikash Karmakar.
The estimated market value of the recovered Yaba is around 15,000/- (fifteen thousand) taka. A case has been registered against the arrested accused at Amtali Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act. Further legal action in this incident is under process.
