A special operation by Tanor Police Station in Rajshahi has arrested two drug dealers along with 5 kg of ganja after searching a drum truck.
Under the direction of Tanor Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Masud Parvez, the operation was conducted on Thursday (May 21) afternoon by SI Masud and SI Abu Naeem along with a joint force.
The arrested are Raniur Rahman (35), son of Shafiqul of Mahanandakhali Uttarpara village, and Emon Ali (24), son of Intaz Ali of Puthipara village.
According to police sources, based on a secret information, a drum truck (Dhaka Metro-T 20-4530) was stopped and searched in the Dhanhata Math area of Taland Bazaar. At that time, 5 kg of ganja was recovered from the right side chamber of the truck’s body and two people were arrested.
Tanor Police Station OC SM Masud Parvez said that during a special operation, marijuana was recovered from the truck and two drug traffickers were arrested. A regular case has been registered against them and they have been sent to jail through the court.
