The police have arrested three convicts who had been absconding for a long time in a special operation by the Tanor Thana police station in Rajshahi.
Under the direction of Tanor Thana Officer-in-Charge OC SM Masud Parvez, SI Masud Ali, ASI Khairul Islam, ASI Shahadat Hossain and a joint force conducted a special operation on Wednesday night and were able to arrest the convicts.
The convicts are Azizul Haque (50), son of the deceased Gulbar Hossain of Bonekeshar village of Panchandar union of the upazila, Bablur Rahman (41), son of Abdul Quddus Mondal of Namopara village of Chanduria union, and Imran Hossain (25), son of Fajr Ali of Gollapara village of Tanor municipal headquarters.
According to police sources, these convicts were absconding for a long time after being sentenced. They were arrested from their own area after conducting a special operation based on secret information.
Tanor Police Station OC SM Masud Parvez said that the accused were absconding for a long time with warrants issued for their conviction. They were arrested based on secret information. The arrested accused have been sent to jail through the court.
