Three youths named Shakil, Raihan and Sajeeb have been arrested in an army operation in Haldar Para area of Meherpur city with foreign pistols, toy pistols, magazines, walkie-talkies and narcotics. They were arrested in a raid conducted in Haldar Para and School Para areas of Meherpur city from midnight to noon on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
Arrested – Shakil is Abdur Rashid of Haldar Para, Raihan is the son of Hamidul Sheikh of Government Boys High School Para and Sajeeb is the son of Jasim of the same neighborhood.
Army sources said that based on specific allegations, a joint force-led operation was conducted from midnight on Saturday. Akash, Raihan and Sajeeb, accused of weapons, drugs and extortion and accused in various cases, were arrested in the operation.
A foreign pistol, a magazine, a toy pistol, three walkie-talkie sets and chargers, narcotics and various equipment were recovered from them. At the end of the operation, the three arrested and the recovered items were handed over to RAB Gangni.
