In Bholahat, Chapainawabganj, the inauguration ceremony of the 3-day âBhoomi Seba Mela-2026â was held on Tuesday (19 May 2026) at 10 am at the Upazila Land Office premises, with the aim of bringing land-related services to the doorsteps of the common people, improving the quality of land services and increasing public awareness, like the whole country.
At the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the fair virtually from the Land Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, as the chief guest of the ceremony. The fair was organized by the Bholahat Upazila Land Office with the cooperation of the Ministry of Land and the theme âPeople-Friendly Automated Land Management: Protected Land, Prosperous Citizensâ.
At that time, Acting Upazila Executive Officer and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Sanaul Morshed was present as a special guest at the Upazila Land Service Fair. Among others, Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Md. Sultan Ali, Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Ibrahim Khalilullah, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Nasim Uddin, Youth Development Officer Md. Rabiul Islam Kabiraj, Cooperative Office Assistant Md. Abdul Jalil, RDO Md. Sabuj Ali, UP Chairman Alhaj Md. Peer Jahan, officials and employees of various departments, teachers, journalists and well-wishers were present.
After the inauguration of the land fair, a colorful rally left the Upazila Land Office premises and circled various roads. More than a hundred people from different classes and professions participated in the rally.
According to the organizing sources, the 3-day fair will provide various land-related services, registration, accounting and land development tax information services and public awareness.
