A colorful joyous procession and rally was held in Bhaluka, Mymensingh, on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) to mark the 45th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteer Party. Leaders and activists from different areas of the upazila joined the program that started in the morning. Ignoring the rain, they paraded the main roads of the city holding national and party flags and chanting slogans.
After the joyous procession, the leaders and activists gathered for a rally in the Court Bhaban area. Alhaj Mostafizur Rahman Mamun, a member of the BNP Central Executive Council and Bhaluka Upazila BNP member, was present as the chief guest at the event. He said, “The Volunteer Party has been working to protect the country’s democracy, independence and people’s rights since its birth. In the future too, it will stand by the people out of patriotism and a sense of human responsibility.”
The program was presided over by Bhaluka Upazila Volunteer Party convener Asadullah Chowdhury Dhruba and moderated by Municipal Volunteer Party convener Abul Bashar Mondal. Upazila BNP joint convener Mujibur Rahman Moju and leaders and activists from various levels of the Upazila and Municipal Volunteer Party were also present.
The speakers at the rally referred to the Volunteer Party as an organization committed to protecting democracy, human rights and nationalist values. They said that the love and unity of the people are the main strength of the organization.
An eyewitness said that the united participation of the leaders and activists despite the rain has created great enthusiasm among the common people.
Incidentally, the Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteer Party has been playing an active role in the country’s political and social activities since its establishment. The leaders also said that they plan to further strengthen the organization’s activities in the future.
