The 86th sports competition has been inaugurated with grand arrangements.
It is learned that on January 23 (Friday), the 86th annual sports competition of the traditional Badalgachhi Government Model Pilot High School of Badalgachhi Upazila of the district has been inaugurated with grand arrangements on the first day. The second phase of the cultural program will be held on January 25 (Sunday).
For the first phase, the school ground was decorated with balloons and festoons.
The program included recitation from the Holy Quran, Gita reading, hoisting of the national flag and sports flag with the national anthem, torch marching, scout team marching, and sports competitions.
The sports program was inaugurated by Badalgachi Upazila Executive Officer Ishrat Jahan Chhoni as the chief guest and inaugurated by the school’s assistant teacher of science department TM Asaduzzaman and presided over by acting headmaster Mozaffar Hossain.
After hoisting the flag, Badalgachi Upazila Executive Officer Ishrat Jahan Chhoni and acting headmaster of the school Mozaffar Hossain inaugurated the sports competition by releasing balloons and festoons. Md. Palash Uddin Assistant Commissioner (Land), Md. Lutfar Rahman Officer-in-Charge, Badalgachi Thana, Md. Shafiul Alam, Upazila Secondary Education Officer, Badalgachi were present as special guests.
Former headmaster of the school Abul Kalam Muha Azad, former senior teacher Rabiul Karim, former senior teacher Maulana Abdus Sattar, former president Mojibur Rahman and others were present as guests of honor.
Also present were the teachers, students, staff, and parents of the school.
At the beginning of the program, various activities were organized, including group dances, running and jumping, and various types of dressing up.
Finally, prizes were distributed among the winning students who participated in the caterpillar competition.
