The Fisheries Week has been inaugurated in Dhamairhat, Naogaon. A rally was held on Monday, August 18 at 10 am under the leadership of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Acting) Jasmine Akhter.
After the rally, a discussion meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium. UNO Jasmine Akhter presided over the discussion meeting. Upazila Fisheries Officer Ayub Ali delivered a welcome speech on various issues including the importance and benefits of fish farming.
Moderated by Fisheries Extension Officer Bimal Chandra Das, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Ashish Kumar Sarkar, Animal Resources Officer Dr. Wazed Ali, OC Imam Zafar, Safal Hatchery Director Badiuzzan, Safal Koi Fish Farmer Assistant Professor Jamal Uddin delivered further speeches.
After the discussion, awards were given to successful hatchery director Badiuzzaman, successful koi fish farmer Assistant Professor Jamal Uddin, and successful magur fish farmer Motaleb Hossain.
