Blankets have been distributed among the cold-stricken and distressed people in Birganj, Dinajpur. The program was organized by the Birganj Model Press Club on Thursday (January 22) at 11 am at the Birganj Government College grounds.
Birganj Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Shaon Kumar Sarkar spoke as the chief guest at the program presided over by the President of the Press Club, Uttam Sharma. He said that standing by the cold-stricken people is a humanitarian and social responsibility and such initiatives are commendable.
Freedom fighter Md. Kabirul Islam, teachers of Birganj Government College, police officers of Birganj Police Station, leaders of various press clubs and local dignitaries were present as special guests at the program.
Birganj Model Press Club Sports Secretary Joynal Abedin Sohel Sarkar hosted the program. Finally, the chief guest thanked the organizers and urged them to continue such humanitarian activities.
