Protests against Trump’s immigration crackdown spread across the country on the anniversary of his second term. The incident in Minneapolis where federal agents pulled a US citizen woman from her car and shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Goode has sparked outrage across the country.

Video circulating online shows hundreds of protesters gathering in Washington and smaller cities like Asheville, North Carolina. At the time, the protesters circled major cities and chanted “No ICE, No KKK, No Fascist USA.”
The Trump administration says it has a mandate from voters to deport millions of immigrants living in the country illegally. Recent polls show that a majority of Americans oppose the use of force by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal agents.

Students at Cleveland University in Ohio began a protest with the slogan âNo Hate, No Fear, Refugees Are Welcome Here.â At the same time, students at a high school in Santa Fe, New Mexico, walked out of class to join a âStop ICE Terrorâ rally at the state capitol.
The demonstrations were organized by left-wing organizations such as Indivisible and 50501, as well as labor unions and grassroots organizations. These organizations oppose immigration detention centers.

The deaths of three immigrants in custody in the past six weeks at a center in El Paso, Texas, have sparked widespread outrage. The protests, which began against immigration policies, have spread to cities in the western part of the country, such as San Francisco and Seattle. Young Asir Zarif and JSF-Bangladesh organizer Haji Anwar Hossain Liton joined the protest in Manhattan, New York, with banners. Source: Reuters
