Chhatak (Sunamganj) Correspondent:
Under the direction of Sunamganj Chhatak Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan and led by Police Inspector (Investigation) Ranjan Kumar Ghosh, a police team including SI and ASI conducted a special operation and arrested a total of 18 accused.
Among those arrested are 15 people in regular cases, 2 in drug cases and 1 person under warrant. There are various cases against them in Chhatak Police Station, including several criminal cases including murder.
Notable among the arrested accused are: Amir Ali, Hasan, Ruhitul Islam Nahid, Abdullah, Saidur Rahman, Sifatul Islam Emon, Kabir Ahmed, Masum Ahmed, Ruhul Amin, Naimur Rahman, Salamin Ahmed, Lahin Ahmed, Zainul Abedin, Kamran Ahmed, Redwan Hossain, Subash Das, Md. Jahangir Alam and Md. Lalon Mia.
Police said that legal action has been taken against the arrested persons and they have been handed over to the learned court through proper procedure.
According to sources at Chhatak Police Station, such operations will continue in the future to ensure public safety and curb crime.
