The âArafat Rahman Coco Football Tournament 2026â was held in a festive atmosphere at the Bhangabari High School ground of Baradhul Union No. 6 of Belkuchi Upazila of Sirajganj. The competition was held at 3 pm on Sunday (March 22, 2026) in the presence of local sports enthusiasts.
Sirajganj District BNP member Mahmudul Hasan Shanto was present as the president of the program.
The chief guest was the Member of Parliament, Sirajganj-5, Mr. Md. Amirul Islam Khan Alim.
Belkuchi Upazila BNP Joint Convener Md. Mosharraf Hossain Akand was present as the special guest.
The program was moderated by Md. Taher Lavlu, Member Secretary, Baradhul Union BNP. The game was conducted by Md. Ruhul Amin Isa and Md. Rubel Hossain. Md. Shah Alam Akand, President, Baradhul Union Krishak Dal No. 6, was under the overall supervision.
In the final match of the tournament, Khidrachapari Football XI and Tangail Football XI faced each other. Khidrachapari team dominated the offensive game from the beginning. In the scheduled game, they defeated Tangail Football XI by 2-0 goals and won the glory of becoming the champion.
At the end of the game, a 32-inch LED monitor was given to the winning team as a prize. At that time, the entire field was filled with the joy and excitement of the players and the applause of the audience.
Locals believe that such an event is making the youth of the area interested in sports. The organizers expressed their hope to continue such sports events in the future.
