On the occasion of the two-year anniversary of Al-Hera Modern Academy in Burichong, Comilla, a gathering, souvenir release, honoring of meritorious people, scholarship distribution and prayers for the forgiveness of the departed were held. The event was held in a festive atmosphere at the Burichong Muktijoddha Complex Hallroom at 10 am on Saturday in the presence of former and current students, guardians and invited guests.
The founder of the school, senior journalist Mohammad Abdul Adud, who filed a writ petition on quota reform, was in the chair, and Badrul Hasan Liton, Joint Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, was present as the chief guest. Saiful Hasan Ripon, Joint Secretary of the ICT Department of the Government of Bangladesh, was the main discussant.
Jointly moderated by Fatima Akter Dolly, Senior Nurse of Comilla Medical College Hospital and Shahriar Nafis Sajeeb Upazila Executive Officer Md. Tanvir Hossain, Deputy Secretary of the Comilla Education Board Md. Abdul Qadir, Senior Assistant Vice President of Prime Bank Limited Md. Azharul Islam, Acting Principal of Burichong Ershad Degree College Md. Delwar Hossain, Former Vice Principal of Jagatpur ADH Senior Madrasa Maulana Md. Shafiullah and Assistant Professor of Burichong Ershad Degree College and Founder Principal of the school Miah Anwar Morshed.

Among the student representatives who spoke were Tariquzzaman Antar, Jamilur Rahman Tanim, BCS Officer Sakhawat Hossain Ghalib, Abdur Rahman Rumel, Masudul Islam, Golam Samdani Jewel, Abdul Jabbar, Mominul Islam Shakeel, Saidul Islam Mithu, Dr. Nur Mohammad Sumon (BCS Health), Md. Rahmatullah and Eng. Al Aksar.
The chief guest, in his speech, promised to be by the side of the ancient kindergarten school of Burichang Upazila for its all-round success and development.
Abdul Adud, senior journalist of Daily Inqilab, the founder of the school, said, “I have spent a long time and money of my life for this institution. He is proud that his students have come out of this institution and are now established in good places in the country.” At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest honored 27 BCS cadres, doctors, engineers and army officers, as well as meritorious students and distinguished people.
A charming souvenir named Hera Jyoti was unveiled at the ceremony and special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of the souls of those associated with the school, including former MP Professor Md. Yunus and language soldier Abdur Razzak Master. Finally, a 15-member committee of the Al-Hera Modern Academy Alumni Association was formed with BCS cadre (Agriculture) Sakhawat Hossain Ghalib as president and Engineer Saidul Islam Mithu as general secretary.
