A colorful rally was held in Tongibari, Munshiganj on the occasion of National and International Sports Day. The program was organized at 9 am on Monday (April 6) at the initiative of the Upazila administration. A colorful rally was taken out under the leadership of Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Wazed Wasif. The rally started from the Upazila Parishad premises and ended at the same place after circumambulating the main roads of the Upazila. The participants in the rally highlighted the importance of sports.
At this time, the speakers said that sports practice plays an important role in the overall development of a nation. Regular sports help in keeping the body healthy and also keep the young society away from drugs, terrorism and criminal activities. They also mentioned that there is no alternative to sports to build a healthy and conscious generation. Leaders of Upazila Sports Organizations, officials of various departments of the Upazila administration, local public representatives and dignitaries were present at this time.
