Conspiracy underway within Jatiya Party to bring back Awami League: Advisor Asif Mahmud

Dhaka Correspondent:

Local Government and Youth Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan said, “A plan is underway to bring back the Awami League through the Jatiya Party. The heinous attack on Nur is also part of that conspiracy.”

He made these comments while talking to reporters while visiting People’s Rights Council President Nurul Haque Nur at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital this Sunday (August 31) afternoon.

Advisor Asif said, the National Party has already proven itself as a recognized fascist force through legitimizing the previous illegal parliament and various activities. A conspiracy is underway to bring back the Awami League through them. He added, “This heinous attack on Nur is also part of that plan. However, there is no support for this conspiracy from the government or the people.”

Asif Mahmud Sajeeb clarified, “The attack on Nur did not happen even during the Awami League. Such an attack on the head of a political party is unacceptable in any way. Since the incident took place during the interim government, the government must also judge this incident. Whoever the attackers are, action will be taken against them.”

He further questioned, “We must first understand which is a mob and which is a political program. How can a registered party’s program be called a mob?”

The advisor expressed hope that the people will also stand against fascist politics and support the democratic forces.

It is worth noting that Nurul Haque Nur is currently undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Doctors said that his physical condition is stable.
