Keeping in mind the slogan âEducation for Allâ, the Zilla Parishad, Sherpur, has distributed educational aids among 50 children of the marginalized Harijan community. On Monday (April 13) at 11 am, at the Zilla Parishad conference room âNisargaâ, the Zilla Parishad Administrator A.B.M. Mamunur Rashid was present as the chief guest and distributed gifts.
Among the distributed materials were quality school bags and water containers. Speaking at the event, the Administrator said, âA new chapter in the humanitarian activities of the Zilla Parishad has begun through the distribution of educational aids among the children of the marginalized Harijan community. We want to stand by the helpless, poor and backward students and are committed to ensuring the overall development of Sherpur with the cooperation of everyone.â He also said that the doors of the Zilla Parishad will be open to everyone from now on.
The event was hosted by the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, Dipankar Roy. He said, âTo build an inclusive society, everyone has to work together. Sustainable development is possible only if equal opportunities are ensured in education, health and employment.â
Deputy Director of the Local Government Department, Ms. Arifa Siddika, Executive Officer of the District Council, Md. Mizanur Rahman, and Assistant Engineer Nazmul Hasan, along with other officials and employees, were present at the event.
According to those concerned, this initiative will play an important role in increasing the interest of children from marginalized communities in education and making them school-oriented.
