A drug dealer with 1,140 pieces of Yaba has been arrested in a special operation by RAB in Sadar Upazila of Gopalganj. The arrested person is named as Mahbub Howlader (35).
The operation was conducted in the Kajulia Uttarpara area of Sadar Upazila on Saturday (January 17) afternoon. S. M. Rezaul Haque, Camp Commander of Bhatiapara RAB Camp, confirmed the matter.
RAB said that based on a secret information, a special anti-drug operation was conducted and Mahbub Howlader was arrested from his own house in the Kajulia Uttarpara area.
Later, a search was carried out on his body and house and 1,140 pieces of Yaba tablets were recovered.
The arrested Mahbub Howlader is known to be the son of Afsar Uddin Howlader of Kajulia village of Sadar Upazila of Gopalganj. RAB further said that necessary legal action is in the process of taking against the arrested accused with the recovered Yaba under the Narcotics Control Act.
