Dubai Crown Prince visits Dubai International Airport after Iran ceasefire

UAE Correspondent:

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited Dubai International Airport (DXB). He toured one of the world’s busiest travel hubs to review its operations and passenger services.

Dubai International Airport has maintained its position as the world’s busiest airport for international passengers for 12 consecutive years, and the main objective of the visit was to see how this huge pressure is being managed on the ground.

Sheikh Hamdan also visited the Dubai Police Operations Centre, where officials briefed him on the smart systems being developed to improve the overall travel experience for both locals and tourists. He also met with the Emirates Airlines team, which is expanding its global network and currently serves 123 destinations in 65 countries.

Sheikh Hamdan accompanied his team on the tour, touring various parts of the airport, receiving briefings on various Dubai Police systems and interacting with Emirates Airlines team members along the way.

The scenes weren’t limited to formal interactions — people throughout the building quickly noticed. Crowds gathered on multiple floors, from balconies to windows, and many were filming on their phones amid applause and cheers as the Crown Prince of Dubai passed by.

He was also seen sharing a light-hearted moment with Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and CEO of Emirates Airlines and the Emirates Group.

Sheikh Hamdan of Dubai was seen joking with Sheikh Ahmed. He briefly put his hand on his shoulder in a playful gesture, which made the people around him laugh — a rare and light-hearted interaction between them in the midst of such a formal visit.
