Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon made a surprise visit to two SSC examination centers in Singair Upazila of Manikganj.
On Tuesday (April 21), he arrived at the Joymandap High School and Sahrail High School examination centers at around 11 am without any formal protocol. Even the government vehicle’s flag was covered, so no one at the centers noticed his arrival.
During the inspection, the Education Minister closely monitored the overall examination activities of the two centers. He visited various rooms, checked the seating arrangement of the examinees, discipline and environment. During this surprise visit, he got the opportunity to directly assess the actual situation of the centers.
At one stage of the inspection, the Education Minister expressed dissatisfaction with the activities of the inspectors in charge of two rooms of the Joymandap High School center. He ordered the inspectors concerned to be removed from their duties immediately on charges of negligence in performing their duties. The UNO was asked to take immediate steps to implement this order.
Present with the minister at the time were Singair Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Khairunnahar Poppy and Singair Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mazharul Islam along with officials from various levels of the upazila administration.
