A party of good people, a people’s party. We have formed a party thinking about the people of the country. We want to change the country. The people of the country will work to ensure that the people of the country are well, how to keep them well. Janata Dal Chairman Brigadier General (Retd.) Md. Shamim Kamal Chowdhury said all this at a discussion meeting organized by Janata Dal in Kaliganj, Gazipur.
On Wednesday (September 10) morning, Janata Dal Kaliganj Upazila branch organized a meeting at the Upazila Central Shaheed Minar organized by Janata Dal, Upazila Convener Md. Rafiqul Islam Rafiq, and Janata Dal Chairman Brigadier General (Retd.) Md. Shamim Kamal Chowdhury were present as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Janata Dal Upazila Convener Md. Rafiqul Islam Rafiq. The main speaker was Janata Dal Secretary General Bir Muktijoddha Janneta Alhaj Md. Azam Khan. Special speaker was Janata Dal spokesperson and convener Major (Retd.) Del H Khan. Janata Dal Vice Chairman Lieutenant General (Retd.) Sabbir Ahmed, Major General (Retd.) Mahbubul Alam, Rahela Parvin Shishir, Hasina Kamal were present as special guests.
Under the leadership of Upazila Convener Committee Member Secretary Muhammad Noman, among others, Colonel (Retd.) Md. Abul Kalam Zaki, Joint Secretary General Major (Retd.) Md. Zakir Hossain, Sylhet Divisional Organizing Secretary, Major (Retd.) Md. Badrul Alam Siddiqui, Gazipur District Convener Haji Shamsuddin Ahmed, Member Secretary Abu Zafar Ripon, etc.
After the discussion meeting, the party chairman and secretary general inaugurated the party office adjacent to the Upazila Parishad with party leaders and activists, and a holy Milad and Doa Mahfil were held at the new office.
